Abstract

Online education in medical schools requires innovative approaches in the study of clinical disciplines and the conduct of research work of students. Digital innovative technologies, artificial intelligence, the creation of large databases (Big Data) in all areas of medicine, the use of mobile and distance learning help students’ education and research work to reach a new level and cope with growing challenges. The study of special disciplines becomes much more effective when using interactive programs of augmented and virtual reality. Simulators, mathematical and computer modeling help in the development of anatomy, physiology, surgery, therapy, etc. Medical students of St. Petersburg universities are technologically ready and use intelligent technologies and programs in online education and research.
