PHARMACOVIGILANCE SYSTEM IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
Abstract
This article examines the relationship between the quality of medical care, the life expectancy of the population, and the economic development of the country. Experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) have established that improving healthcare quality contributes to the growth of the gross national product. However, according to research findings, significant violations of safety requirements in medical practice are observed in critically important areas such as epidemiological, surgical, and pharmaceutical safety. The Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor) reports that requirements for pharmaceutical safety are met in only 40.2% of cases during inspections of medical organizations, highlighting the need to improve safety standards in this field.
